Magdalena & Lisa: The Good Souls
Best friends and the two Good Souls of Ansitz Schneckart.
The hotel business has won us over over the years: always new challenges and working in a team are incredibly fun. In addition, there is the opportunity to get to know magical people and their exciting stories from all over the world.
In the last few years we were able to gain experience in great hotels, but the most formative for both of us was probably the time at Seehotel Ambach – a unique hotel from the 70s on Lake Caldaro.
We spent the last 8 and 6 years there – with many beautiful moments but also short nights.
Magdalena as Guest Relation Manager: from booking inquiries to guest relations and organization of the reception team to coordination between the different departments in the house.
Lisa as service manager and contact person for wine: from the coordination of the service team to wine ordering and wine consulting.
After this long and above all beautiful time, and due to an interesting encounter, Ansitz Schneckart found us in the fall of 2021, and we decided that it was time to write our own little story….
From now on we can take care of your needs and wishes: before, during and after your stay. Together we will prepare your magical breakfast, fill the wine cellar and tell you our favorite places. For hiking, biking, recharging your batteries or just to let your soul dangle. Restaurant tips and the one or other winery are of course always included.
We are looking forward to making the Ansitz a magical place together with you!
“We want the Ansitz Schneckart to be a house full of memories of experiences and moments that our guests will tell about for a long time.”

The owner
“Everyone deserves the same respect – regardless of the hat they are wearing. The well-being of our employees is just as important to us as the well-being of guests, suppliers and the community.”
Timo and Werner have known each other for over 30 years and have experienced life with all its wonderful highs but also deep valleys. And even if we didn’t meet for a while, every reunion was like a familiar embrace.
We both share a love of life in all its facets and have been able to put aside our fears in many respects. So the idea of the joint Ansitz Schneckart came about by chance during a very good dinner. At the end of the evening it was clear that we would do it. To us well-meaning people who warned of all the risks of such a dilapidated property that had been empty for a decade and our lack of experience in the “hospitality” business, we replied with a hearty “That’s exactly why we’re doing it”.
We are both driven by three things:
- Our families, to whom we are committed and who are the measure of all we do. Therefore, it is a house of friends for family and friends.
- Our idea of hospitality, which is unpretentious, but all the more warm and generous. That’s why you can do (almost) anything at Ansitz Schneckart.
- Our pleasure in paths that are different, unconventional, not well-trodden. That is why it is not a hotel.
